Microsoft Windows XP
I’ve been commissioned to write a feature on netbooks for the official Microsoft Windows XP Magazine’s 100th issue. I will also be contributing the lead feature: 100 free tools for your PC.

The latest issue of PC Answers has been published, and features my “Move to a new PC” feature on transferring data, programs and settings from your old PC to your new one. Also featured is my guide to safely optimising the Registry by avoiding Registry cleaning tools, plus my regular Helpdesk contribution.

I’ve just submitted my Q&A column for issue 32. Deadlines and holidays notwithstanding, I may also have a two-page tutorial on batch processing photos to write for the same issue on my return – deadline sometime in May.

BBC Who Do You Think You Are?
My forthcoming review of Family Historian 4 has been pushed back an issue due to a delayed release date (deadline now early May). In its place I’ve been commissioned to write a review of Roots Magic 4, which has also just been released. Deadline middle of next week.
